One of Myers Park's standout guards committed to attend and play basketball at the University of Notre Dame over the weekend.

Sir Mohammed is a 6-foot-6, 200-pound combo guard. The senior is fresh off of a 4A state championship title with the Mustangs. Myers Park defeated Richmond by a score of 74-60 to earn a banner.

He announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Saturday evening.

Mohammed is a consensus 4-star prospect in the class of 2024. 247Sports ranks Mohammed the highest at No. 43 nationally. Rivals has him 57, ESPN at 71, and On3 is the lowest at 150.

Last season, Mohammed averaged 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.9 steals. He was named to the HSOT All-State team as a first teamer.

There are now five 4-star prospects from North Carolina that have made college commitments. The others are Salisbury's Juke Harris (Wake Forest U.), Word of God's Paul McNeil (NC State), Northwood's Drake Powell (UNC), and North Mecklenburg's Isaiah Evans (Duke).
