Officers looking for driver that killed North Carolina A&T student in hit-and-run

According to a WXII report, the initial investigation revealed that Xiomara Moore was driving a Hyundai Sonata on Friendly Avenue entered the intersection of North Elm Street at a steady green light, and was hit by a stolen Jeep Cherokee that ran a red light.

Investigators have released more details about a deadly hit-and-run that occurred on Saturday.

According to a WXII report, the initial investigation revealed that Xiomara Moore was driving a Hyundai Sonata on Friendly Avenue entered the intersection of North Elm Street at a steady green light, and was hit by a stolen Jeep Cherokee that ran a red light.

Police say the driver of the Cherokee hit Moore's car and left the scene and the Jeep. Moore died from her injuries. The Jeep's driver ran away.
