Tractor-trailer overturns after crash with garbage truck on Raeford Road in Fayetteville

A tractor-trailer and a garbage truck crashed Friday morning on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

At 7:31 a.m., the Fayetteville Fire Department was dispatched to an accident with an overturned tractor-trailer at Raeford Road and Interstate 295. A tractor-trailer overturned after a crash involving a waste management truck.

The driver of the tractor-trailer had to be extricated. Both drivers were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. No one else was injured.

Westbound traffic on Raeford Road remains closed at I-295 until further notice, and Fayetteville police remain on scene. The N.C. Department of Transportation is helping with clean up and recovery efforts.
