Oh, okay. See if you want motivation, look no further than Alicia. Davis, Let's go to the East Chapel Hill High school senior is a cheerleader in more ways than one. I'm a natural born leader. I've always, I've always take charge and I try to sit back more, But it's kind of hard when she's not co captaining the cheerleading team. She's championing causes like racial equality at East Chapel Hill go. And just the fact that my kids will have to grow up in a world where they're not equal, is not gonna work for me. Yeah, no, she's been self driven as long as her mother can remember. She's one of those who takes charge. Um she knows what she wants and she goes after it. A near childhood tragedy is given Alicia a true appreciation for life. First thing I was saying was, Lord, why not me? When Alicia was four years old, her family noticed a bulge near her stomach. Tests revealed a cancerous tumor. Doctors had her entire kidney removed. I remember my mom told me when I came out of the operation, I was like, mommy, I can't wear my bathing soup and I was so sad about me not being able to wear my bathing suit because my scar would show next chemo would take away her hair, but never her spirit. The experience how more Alicia into the positive person you see now I want to live a full life. I want to live a life. Just like my parents live just like their parents lived everyone I want to have kids one day. And so that means I have to take care of myself as much as possible. Alicia Davis is this week's winner of the tom suiter Extra effort Award.
